Some rejected OZ concepts...

My Wicked Witch OZ concept. I had a great deal of fun designing her. I was surprised (and enjoyed) how different Baum's original text describes her from the 1939 film.

I've started this personal project of designing various character concepts. My hope is to produce these concepts as if they were in full production for an animated or live action film. I also would like to produce fully sculpted maquettes of some of these designs. First assignment for myself: Design the characters from The Wonderful Wizard of OZ by L. Frank Baum using his origanal text as a guide and avoiding any connection with the 1939 film (whenever possible).
